In this project, I demonstrated essential cybersecurity skills by applying the NIST CIA triad, a fundamental model for information security that encompasses Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. This triad serves as a cornerstone of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and is integral to many compliance standards. I showcased my understanding of these critical security principles by ensuring that information remains accessible only to authorized individuals (Confidentiality), maintaining the accuracy and trustworthiness of data throughout its lifecycle (Integrity), and guaranteeing that information is available to authorized users when needed (Availability).

Moreover, I highlighted the importance of addressing all three elements of the CIA triad, particularly the often-overlooked aspect of integrity, which can significantly impact confidentiality and availability if compromised. By implementing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, which incorporates the CIA principles within its five core functions—Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover—I demonstrated my preparedness for real-world cybersecurity roles. This project underscores my practical skills in applying essential security concepts and my commitment to safeguarding organizational assets against complex cybersecurity challenges, aligning with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
